5a62c850-551c-45cb-9554-1701862a1b7fA very pleased Marc De Caul, Chairman of the Grenada Sailing Week (GSW) Board and Kelvin George, General Manager of Island Water World (IWW) on Lagoon Road, Grenada shook hands on the three year agreement, as preparations are up and running for a great 2015 regatta.

A sponsor since the beginning, General Manager Kelvin George said that the Island Water World  team were looking forward to building the event, expanding on the success of GSW 2014, which drew 36 entries from 13 different countries. The partnership between the GSW and the chandlery that “keeps you sailing” is one of good communication, close co-operation and ongoing assistance, paving the way to develop this regatta into a first class international racing event.

Grenada Sailing Week has been in existence since 2012 when the recovery of the 2013 large boat regatta was needed. To receive such great support from Island Water World for the events future is fantastic and helps the GSW Board to build this regatta for the greater good of the island, tourism product and marine industry.  We are heavily reliant on all our sponsors and supporters as even though we are a not-for-profit organisation we need to invest in the future marketing and development of the event.  If anyone is interested in supporting the event please email info@grenadasailingweek.com

Online Registration is up and running and boats have begun to register, starting with GSW 2014’s Best Performing Yacht Jaguar – Peter Morris from Trinidad and the always competitive Tulaichean II – Mike Bingley from UK.

A team of competent race officials is being formed and exciting ideas for after race entertainment are flowing, so get on board to “Spice it Up!” once again on the friendly island of Grenada.
