The edition 2017 Round Martinique Regatta Cruising renewed its program to the delight of boaters. ideal combination of competition, conviviality and relaxation, the participants of the rally will cruise comfortably enjoy the beautiful scenery of the south coast to leeward of Martinique, without neglecting the competitive dimension.

A common first step will bring the fleet to Marin after a given starting on the waterfront of the city of Fort-de-France with a route in its beautiful bay. Opportunity for the 40 boats expected to share a few miles before the Diamond Rock.

At the second stage starting from Marin, the fleet split into two; on the Atlantic side, the Racing continue their route to Spoutourne cove in Trinidad by a crosswind. Simultaneously, Cruising will head to the beaches of St. Anne. The reward size with a collective picnic organized on the beaches of Saline in the late morning.

At nightfall, the 300 sailors meet at the cove Spoutourne to participate in the official evening of Martinique Round Regatta 2017. The cruise will join shuttle route other participants.

Once again, Sunday 12 February, the cruising enjoy the scenery and exceptional sailing conditions of the southeast coast downwind. In contrast to the Island, the racing will have to juggle the wind changes caused by the relief of Mount Pelee. With any luck, Cruising and Racing will meet in the Bay of Fort-de-France for joint arrival at sunset at Point of the Virgin.

The closing ceremony scheduled for Sunday evening at the Yacht Club of Martinique will be an opportunity for participants to discuss the past three days of competition. The awards will decorate the winners of the 2017 edition with a cocktail and a dinner of thanks.
