The St. Maarten Yacht Club Regatta Foundation is pleased to announce Coca-Cola as a contributing participant in the 38th St. Maarten Heineken Regatta.

Following the devastation resulting from the 2017 hurricane season, the regatta committee not only decided to stay on track with hosting the 2018 St. Maarten Heineken Regatta, but also uses the significant event to assist in attracting visitors back to the island and simultaneously raise funds to assist various humanitarian and environmental efforts on St. Maarten/St. Martin.

These goals, as set out by the regatta committee, are shared by all who hold St. Maarten dear, so when Coca-Cola local distributor CC1 was approached to assist “it was an easy decision” says Coca-Cola Brand Marketing Coordinator Agnetha Huijting. Coca-Cola SXM Strong Limited edition 12 oz cans and other Coca-Cola products have been donated to the committee to help offset expenses and increase revenues earmarked for the recovery process that the island is going through.

Coca-Cola is the #1 selling beverage in the world and is happy and excited to be a part of St. Maarten’s and the Caribbean’s #1 sailing event.

With the ongoing SXMSTRONG campaign consumers can purchase the 2018 Limited Edition SXM Strong Coca Cola® can at major retailers across the island. And with every case sold, $0.50 will go towards these hurricane relief funds to help the people of St. Maarten. The stocks are selling out quickly as local patriots snap up “Coca-Cola Limited Edition SXM STRONG “cans. Visitors to the island such as the Regatta sailors will also be on the lookout for these cans as it will be a small effort and gesture in saying “we care, and we want to help”. Coca-Cola SXM STRONG is also a wonderful gift or souvenir to take home.
