The 2018 Caribbean Sailing Association (CSA) Annual Conference dates have been confirmed as October 12-14, 2018. The 2017 Conference took place as a digital one-day meeting rather than the usual three-day Conference as originally planned, due to the passing of Hurricanes Irma and Maria in September and the destruction they wrought on many of the member islands.

President of the CSA Kathy Lammers said: “It was a very difficult decision to cancel the Conference last year because it is a critical part of the CSA’s annual strategic planning process.  However, there really was no other option as many of our members had much more pressing things to deal with.” She went on to say: “Despite the one-day digital meeting being well attended last year, there is no replacement for getting our membership together in one room over a three-day period.  We very much look forward to doing that again this October”.

The location of the 2018 Conference has also been confirmed as Antigua as it is central to the Caribbean chain of islands and therefore relatively easy for the majority of members to travel to.

Details of the conference will be updated on the website at www.csaconference.org as venue and plans are confirmed.  A detailed Conference and AGM Schedule will also be available on the website in the near future.
