“This year we are chartering an IC24, something smaller and simpler than year’s past. We own a C&C 115 with an asymmetrical spinnaker on Lake Michigan, so this is going to be a change for us. We live in Chicago, so we look forward to getting someplace warm in March and doing some sailing before the season starts here on Lake Michigan. STIR is a fun, friendly, competitive regatta in a beautiful location. It’s well run, with nice people and a yacht club right on the beach. There’s almost always wind, without big waves.
