About Me
Brian Sylvester permanently resides in Grenada and is currently the chairman of the Grenada Sailing Week Committee. He has been involved in active sailing for the past 35 years and has competed in most of the Caribbean regattas, sailing with the likes of Dougie Mayers, Jerome McQuilkin, Bobby Valasqueres, Jonty Layfield and for the most part, Sir Hugh Bailey. In the early 1990's Brian was a part of a two man team responsible for the revival of youth sailing in Grenada, where they taught upwards of 45 children from various schools to sail. This project, in essence, revived the Grenada Yacht Club and was the genesis of what is known today as the Grenada Sailing Week.
