About Me

Steven is the Chairman of the OA for the 2021 Inaugural CORC Windward 500 Offshore Race Series.  Developed the Caribbean Ocean Racing Club with guidance from RORC Racing Team and Storm TriSail Club. Affiliated CORC with BSA and achieved recognition from the Grenada, St. Vincent, Saint Lucia Sailing Associations, and the Caribbean Sailing Association.


He also supported Barbados J24 Club’s organization of Match Racing Championship, introduced Match Racing to augment J24 Fleet Racing. This led to Barbados hosting a Match Racing Clinic and Nation’s Cup Qualifier Event.


Achieved International Optimist Dingy Association affiliation for Grenada Sailing Association. Initiated funding and procurement of six IODA certified Optimist Dinghies for the Youth Sailing Training program in Grenada.


Organized the inception of the Grenada Sailing Association and achieved affiliation of GSA as a Member National Authority with World Sailing (then International Sailing Federation).


He served on International Juries over 20 years at: Grenada Sailing Festival, Bequia Easter Regatta, Saint Lucia Mango Bowl, Antigua Sailing Week, St. Thomas Rolex Regatta, CORC International Regatta & Sail Canada Youth Championships, Kingston Ontario.


Served on International Juries for Worlds hosted in Barbados: 2009 International One Meter Worlds, 2013 5o5 Worlds, 2016 GP14 Worlds, and 2016 OK Dinghy World Championship.


Served as Umpire for Team Racing and Umpired events at: 2011 Royalist Regatta, featuring Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, 2013 Nations Cup Qualifier Event hosted by ISAF in Barbados.


Served as Course Officer reporting to International PRO’s to set course marks and start lines, and as driver for umpires, jury, and international press and photographers.


He has Raced in major inshore regattas on J105 and J121: Tobago Race Week, Grenada Sailing Festival, Bequia Easter Regatta, Saint Lucia Mango Bowl, Barbados Mount Gay Regatta, Antigua Sailing Week, St. Maarten Heineken Regatta, BVI Spring Regatta, St. Thomas International
Regatta, Block Island Race Week.


Raced offshore on TP52, J121, Multihull at: Storm TriSail Club’s Pineapple Cup 800-mile Miami to Montgomery Bay Jamaica, CORC Caribbean 600-, and 125-mile Newport to Ensenada Race.
