As the CSA Sailing Development Committee is tasked with promoting and advancing all aspects of sailing in the Caribbean region, in particular youth and dinghy sailing, the Caribbean Dinghy Championship event is an important part of this work. In terms of growing the spread of participation in the CDC event, the CSA Sailing Development Committee invites all CSA members to bid to host the CDC event in the future.

Key considerations for potential host venues are the size and range of the dinghy fleet available for use during the event, the ability to keep the costs to participants low, national sponsorship opportunities, availability of qualified race officials to run the event and ease of travel to the host venue.

Traditionally the dates for the CDC have been in October and November and the CSA Sailing Development Committee therefore recommends a date for the event during that time period.

If your organisation has an interest in hosting the 2023 CDC, please study the CDC Form Guide and submit bids accordingly to secretariat@caribbean-sailing.com at your earliest convenience by no later than May 1st.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or comments or require clarification on any CDC event hosting requirements, please do not hesitate to get in contact and we will be sure to respond accordingly.
