Seiko Continues as official timepiece of the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta
February 26, 2026 [Simpson Bay, St. Maarten] – The St. Maarten Heineken Regatta is proud to announce that Seiko will continue as the Official Timepiece of the event, in partnership with Joe’s Jewelry International, Seiko’s exclusive retailer in St. Maarten. Together, this longstanding collaboration strengthens a shared commitment to precision, performance, and a deep connection to the sea, while celebrating the island’s heritage and passion for world-class sailing.
As part of the 2026 Regatta Grand Finale Prize giving on Sunday, March 8, the winning skipper in every class will receive a Seiko Prospex timepiece, honoring excellence across the fleet and marking unforgettable victories with watches designed for life on and off the water.
Seiko continues to demonstrate its commitment to innovation and sustainability, values reflected across the sailing community through advancements such as the MarkSetBot – a state-of-the-art robotic race mark used at top international sailing events. The MarkSetBot allows race officials to adjust course marks with extreme precision while eliminating the need for traditional anchors, helping to reduce disturbance to the seafloor and marine habitats.

The technology also played a key role in the inaugural Diam24 Beach Stadium Race Day in Grand Case, bringing fast, high-energy racing close to shore for spectators. In 2026, the Regatta returns to Grand Case for a full day of beachside spectating on Saturday, March 7, once again blending innovation, accessibility, and elite competition.
Continuing a Regatta tradition, Seiko will present a special award watch to the overall winner of the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta. In 2026, that honor goes to the skipper of the top-performing team of the event, who will receive the Seiko Prospex 1968 Heritage Diver’s GMT SPB519.
Inspired by a marine-sport lifestyle, this premium diver’s GMT watch is powered by Caliber 6R54, featuring a dual time zone function ideal for international sailors. With enhanced 300-meter water resistance, it is built to perform in the most demanding ocean environments while maintaining the refined craftsmanship Seiko is known for.
“We are proud to continue our partnership as the Official Timepiece of the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta,” said Bob Brennan, President of Seiko Watch of America. “The event reflects Seiko’s enduring values of precision and excellence, grounded in a profound appreciation for the ocean. It is an honor to recognize these incredible competitors and celebrate their achievements with Seiko Prospex timepieces.”
In addition, each class-winning skipper will receive a Seiko Prospex U.S. Special Edition SRPH59. Featuring an intricately patterned blue dial inspired by turtle shells, this Special Edition highlights Prospex’s ongoing support for ocean exploration and conservation. These striking timepieces offer winners a lasting symbol of achievement and a natural complement to the sailing lifestyle.
“As Seiko’s exclusive partner in St. Maarten, Joe’s Jewelry International is proud to align the brand with the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta, an event that celebrates excellence, heritage, and performance on the water. Seiko embodies the highest standards of precision, craftsmanship, and understated luxury, which are values that are shared with the world of sailing. This partnership reflects the connection between fine watchmaking and sailing, where mastery of time, tradition, and precision define every exceptional journey. We look forward to showcasing Seiko’s watches to visitors and participants of the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta.”— Adesh Baharani, COO, Joe’s Jewelry International St. Maarten
