Sailors still looking for a boat to race on during the 2017 St. Maarten Heineken Regatta have several options available to them. From tour operators that offer complete packages including airfare, boat rental, entry into the event and crew briefings, to charter companies which offer a large fleet to just charter a boat from. Individual sailors that don’t have a boat or crew to race with, can decide to book a spot on board of one of the Head Boats.

Companies such as KRAS and ATPI, based in the Netherlands, offer complete regatta packages making it easy to enjoy the event. Competitive prices on air travel and boat rentals make it a good choice for a team of sailors looking for a boat to race in the regatta. They offer packages for both mono and multi hulls which means crews can race on the boat they feel most comfortable in.

For teams that would prefer to charter just the boat, they can get in touch with the various charter companies located both in St. Maarten and on the surrounding islands. Those who are chartering a boat from a recognized charter company will be entered to race in the Bareboat class during the regatta. This highly competitive class allows participants to race against boats similar to their own. Sunsail and Moorings have a full fleet available for charter in St. Maarten for the 2017 event.

Head Boats are another alternative and a variety of boat types offer the easy solution to finding a ride if you are without a crew. Individuals can book a spot for the race without having to pay for the rental of an entire boat, allowing you to race with a full crew of new friends while the owners deal with the hassles of docking, entering the event and cleaning the boat. Simply show up and enjoy the race.

All the options for chartering and Head Boats are listed on the regatta website, making it easy to browse for the options that suit you best. Whether you are an entire crew or just an individual looking for a great race experience, the regatta is certainly within your reach.
