Caribbean Sailing Association Launches WhatsApp Group to Strengthen Regional Sailing Community

Antigua, Aug 12 2025 – The Caribbean Sailing Association (CSA) is proud to announce the launch of the CSA Sailing Community WhatsApp Group, a new initiative aimed at bringing together boat owners, crew members, event organizers, and marine businesses from across the Caribbean in one accessible, real-time communication space.

This open WhatsApp group is designed to support the vibrant Caribbean sailing scene by making it easier to share regatta updates, island-specific sailing information, crew opportunities, logistical resources, and local marine services. Open to all, the group reflects the CSA’s mission to make Caribbean sailing more connected, inclusive, and well-supported.

“This is a space where skippers, crews, and service providers can stay in touch, share valuable info, and help each other out — whether they’re racing, cruising, or organizing events,” said CSA President Bastien Pouthier.

The CSA Sailing Community is open to anyone involved in Caribbean sailing. Boat owners, skippers, crew, race organizers, and marine professionals are all encouraged to join and contribute.

To maintain the group’s value and focus, members are asked to follow a few simple guidelines: keep discussions sailing- and marine-related, avoid off-topic posts and spam, and refrain from political, religious, or generic greetings. The CSA aims to keep the group practical, respectful, and useful for all.
