On Sunday, September 16, 2012 in Toronto, Canada,  the Puerto Rican crew of Raul Rios De Choudens (PUR) and Dominich Edgar won the North American Championship title, in both the youth and adult (Open) categories.

In second place was Ernesto Rodriguez (USA). Alexander Tinoco (BRA) who came in fifth, is the current Snipe World Champion and gold medalist at the last Pan American Games.

The competition was Friday to Sunday with winds that ranged from 12 to 5 knots. This is the second consecutive year that Raul Rios has won this championship.
