The Caribbean Sailing Association (CSA) is hosting its annual conference in St. Maarten this October 21 – 23. The event includes the CSA Annual Conference combining the Annual General Meeting, the Regatta Organisers Conference, Sailing Development Meetings and Measurers Meeting alongside the racing in the Caribbean Dinghy Championship.

The conference consists of three days; the Annual General Meeting on day one, followed by two days of discussion, presentations and strategising about regatta organisation, marketing, race management, measurement, and sailing development. The conference is a fantastic opportunity to discuss concerns, pitch ideas and seek support from peers, sponsors and industry stakeholders.

“Registration is now open, and we request all those who are interested to sign up for us to get a good understanding of the number of people who will be attending to allow us to plan accordingly. As in previous years, it is possible to attend only parts of the program and select whether you will join the scheduled dinners.” States President of the CSA, Michele Korteweg.

Organizers of the conference are working on putting together an agenda including key note speakers who will address meaningful and interesting topics, which will be released in the upcoming weeks.

“We are looking forward to a good turnout as it has been 2 years since we were last able to meet in person. The benefits of being able to network, but also share our concerns and challenges with each other, creates an even stronger bond between the sailing organisations in the Caribbean and we always walk away filled with lots of ideas and renewed energy.” Continues Korteweg
