The St. Lucia Yacht Club is a nonprofit organization in the Caribbean which seeks a qualified senior sailing instructor to lead its young Optimist and Laser sailors in its developing but very successful Youth Sailing Programme. Position requires an energetic, enthusiastic and committed male or female who has experience and enjoys working with young sailors between age 7-18; has the expertise to coach its top optimist and laser sailors (including Pan Am 2015 qualifier and Olympic hopeful) for regional competition and the maturity and knowledge to work with member volunteers to develop the sailing programme. With a fleet of Optimists, Lasers, Picos and one J24 the programme is structured to provide opportunity for beginner, intermediate and racing level sailing on weekends and weekday after school sessions.
Salary package includes monthly salary starting at $1700 US + $500US accommodation allowance and return economy airfare with opportunity to conduct private lessons.
Our Club is located on Reduit Beach, Rodney Beach, St. Lucia on the Caribbean Sea in the West Indies and boasts of having the best waters for dinghy sailing in the region right at its beachfront. Check us out on Facebook and have a look at where you could spend the next year!!
