St. Maarten Heineken Regatta organizers have teamed up with one of the islands premier hotels, Simpson Bay Resort & Marina, to offer an exclusive VIP package trip for two people. The contest runs from October 3rd through December 4th and the winner will be drawn on December 5th 2016, just in time to make one lucky person and their chosen guest happy for the holidays.
This VIP prize contest, (currently being run via Facebook and on the regatta website) www.heinekenregatta.com, is a first for the event. “The regatta wanted to offer something to its regatta fans for a long time, but it was difficult to be able to line up all the parties to make it happen. This year, we were lucky to have a great partner like Simpson Bay Resort & Marina, who quickly jumped at the chance to work with the event, to create this one of a kind package,” stated Regatta Director Michelle van der Werff.
In addition to winning roundtrip airfare to the island, winners also receive a complimentary double room for 6 nights, airport pick up as well as passes to a VIP boat trip to spend a day watching the races. Additionally, the winner receives two VIP passes for Sunday night’s “Legendary Party” on Kim Sha Beach. “Winners will be free to explore the island during the day while the boats race the stunning waters off the St. Maarten coast. Their nights will be filled with music from a lineup of international artists, accompanied by a variety of local cuisine and of course, ice cold Heineken,” continued Van der Werff.
The contest is open to legal residents of the United States, Canada, Mexico and any European and Caribbean country. Those entering must be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry and must be willing to document their trip for the event’s social media pages. Van der Werff said “With technology being standard in almost everyone’s daily life, it’s a great way to see the event from a spectator’s point of view. We hope to catch a glimpse of their day-to-day experiences while on island and hear about it in their own words.”
