The AYC Board of Directors has unanimously decided to return the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta to its original format and dates.

Meanwhile, the AYC Board has welcomed the creation of a group, to be headed by Paul Deeth, to restore the Regatta to founder Kenny Coombs’ personal concept of “like-minded people getting together to race stunning yachts in Antigua’s amazing sailing conditions”. The first move by this group has been to change the Event’s dates back to the original idea of it happening a week before ASW. Thus the 2023 Regatta will take place on 19th to 24th April, to include the Single-Handed Race, the Concours d’Elegance, 3 days of racing (original courses), the Parade of Sail into English Harbour, the Gig Racing and the Cream Teas and will be mainly located at Nelson’s Dockyard, with plenty of opportunities to “swing the lamp” over a rum punch (or 2) in that historic venue.
