As Antigua Sailing Week (ASW) continues to evolve its format, organizers have responded to growing interest from the wider public who want to experience the energy of the regatta both on and off the water with the launch of Heineken Riddim & Tides. This new vibrant lifestyle and marine event is set to come alive April 25, 2026 at Ffryes Beach on the idyllic west coast of the island.

Created and presented in partnership with Anjo Wholesale, Distributors for the Heineken Brand. Riddim & Tides is designed to connect the excitement of the regatta with the island’s beaches, bringing sailors, locals, and regional visitors together for a shared celebration of Caribbean culture, music, and the sea.
For over half a century, Antigua Sailing Week has drawn thousands of international sailors to the island. However, organizers say many residents and visitors have increasingly expressed interest in more opportunities to engage with the event beyond the racecourse.

“Antigua Sailing Week has always been about more than just the racing, it’s about the opportunity for cultural exchange that the regatta brings to the island,” says Rana-Jamila Lewis Marketing Manager at ASW. “Over the years we’ve observed a desire from residents and visitors to feel more connected and welcomed to the event. Riddim & Tides is our way of opening that experience up, creating a space on the schedule where the wider community can celebrate the finale of the sailing season together, right on the beach.”

Set against the spectacular backdrop of Ffryes Beach, the event will feature live DJ performances, some of Antiguas most iconic entertainers, curated hospitality, local and international food vendors, and a dynamic on-water element welcoming regatta participants, chase patrons plus local boaters to participate in a lively tie-up just off the shoreline.

Riddim & Tides captures the energy of the Caribbean lifestyle,” said Germaine Serieux, Commercial & Marketing Manager at Anjo Wholesale Distributors. “Antigua Sailing Week already attracts an incredible international audience of sailors and water sport enthusiasts. With Riddim & Tides we are helping extend that experience ashore, bringing together music, culture, and the boating lifestyle in a way that feels authentically Antiguan.”

Strategically scheduled during Antigua Sailing Week, the event is also expected to attract visitors from neighboring islands including St. Kitts & Nevis, Guadeloupe, St. Martin, and St. Maarten destinations with strong boating and leisure travel connections to Antigua during the Caribbean sailing season.

With its fusion of music, boating culture, and beachside celebration, Riddim & Tides is poised to become one of the most exciting new lifestyle events on the regional calendar. With it, organizers hope to further strengthen Antigua & Barbuda’s reputation as not only a world-class sailing destination but also a vibrant cultural hub within the Caribbean.

Visitors traveling to Antigua during Sailing Week (April 22 – 26) are encouraged to make Ffryes Beach a must-visit destination on April 25 as Riddim & Tides makes its highly anticipated debut.
