Virgin Islands Sailors Race for the North American Optimist Title in Antigua this Week

Nine junior sailors representing all three U.S. Virgin Islands are in English Harbour, Antigua, this week to compete in the Seaboard Marine North American Optimist Dinghy Championships. Team ISV, the U.S. Virgin Islands sailors, will be up against a total of 163 sailors from 23 countries, including Caribbean competitors from the British Virgin Islands, Netherlands Antilles and St. Lucia. The sailors at this July 5 to 13 event also represent countries such as Belize, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, Switzerland and the USA. For news and results, visit: www.optinam2015.org.
